”MĂRŢIŞOR” AT THE NATIONAL OPERA

On March, 1st,  2012, at 18.00, at the National Opera and Ballet Theatre will be opened by our General Conductor Andriy Yurkevich the 46th edition of International Festival „Mărțișor”, where are invited all admirers of lyric art.

”La Boheme” is one of the most melodious opera written by Giacomo Puccini, inspired by a number of stories about bohemian artistic life in Paris of 1830 year. It is an emotional poem of love and a unique witness full of tender. Although the story take place in 19 century, the universality and popularity of this opera transpose the reality, the simplicity of character and their lifestyle common to all ages in our modern epoch.  

 

This opera will provide the opportunity to listen to famous arias in a unique interpretation.

The public will have a unique occasion to admire an exceptional soprano, the proud of the Republic of Moldova - Olga Busuioc, who will play the role of Mimi. The role of Musetta will be played by Italian opera singer Anna Corvino together with a famous bass from Turkey Bülent Ateşoğlu who will delight the national public in the role of Collin. Rodolfo will be played by the Ukrainian VladislavGoray and the young opera singer ValeriuCaradja will play the role of Marcello, being a debut partition.

 

On 9 March, at 18.00, the National Opera and Ballet Theatre offers to the ballet lovers the most waited ballet performance Nutcracker” by P.Tchaikosky. "Nutcracker” presents the wonderful adventure of Maria, the girl who has an extraordinary imagination who knew a world – like Joclandia–which only children can know.

 

In this ballet spectacle will perform the first ballet soloists Cristina Terentiev Maestru în Artă (Maria), Alexei Terentiev Artist Emerit (Prince), Igor Gherciu (Drosselmeyer).

Cristina and Alexei Terentiev amaze through extraordinary willingness to feel, live and reproduce each emotion managing to impress the public each time. Atmosphere full of fantasies and harmony of movement, exceptional stage presence and interpretation are the attributes that spectacle will provide to art lovers. Ballet "The Nutcracker" music by P.I. Tchaikovsky will be conducted by Svetlana Popov.

In the frame of International Festival ”Mărţişor” the ballet troupe of the National Opera and Ballet Theatre will overpass the borders of Chisinau uniting two shores of Nistru river. On 3 March, the ballet Giselle will be performed in Tiraspol. The main partition of this ballet symbolizes the power of eternal love in front of betrayal, being one of the most complicated classical dances. It will be performed by our wonderful ballet soloists – Anastasia Homiţcaia Om  Emerit, and Anatolie Ustimov Om Emerit.
